A special programme from two musicians - Werner Acker and Ignaz Netzer - is a treat for lovers of string music and beyond.

A high-calibre musical cocktail brings together the filigree jazz guitar of an academic lecturer with the authentic blues and gospel of an experienced artist. The whole is enriched by balladic original compositions. Recently, "Heilbronner Stimme" wrote: "The duo achieves a harmony between virtuosity, musicality and creativity. Their musical cosmos seems to know no bounds."

Ignaz Netzer has been performing since 1971 and looks back on approximately 2,700 concerts across many European countries. The singer, guitarist and harpist has released 16 albums. His authentic interpretation of black music earned him the epithets "blues magician" (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and "master of classical blues" (Jazz Podium). In 2015 he won the German Blues Award, and his solo album was also nominated for the German Record Critics' Prize.

Werner Acker teaches jazz and pop guitar at the Stuttgart University of Music and is at home in many musical styles. This explains why he has been seen on various major stages in concert halls and festivals (as a guitarist, of course), for example with the Karl Frierson Soulprint Band, with Helen Schneider, with Wolfgang Dauner, with the SWR Bigband, the Swing Legends, and on musical and theatre stages, for example with Ute Lemper.
