Anniversary Gala - "Dances of Joy and Festival Songs"

The Winfridia Fulda Municipal Concert Choir celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2026. The jubilee year culminates in a festive weekend on September 26 and 27, 2026, under the motto "Dances of Joy and Festival Songs".

On Saturday, September 26, the grand anniversary concert takes place; on Sunday, September 27, the festive anniversary matinee. Both events are conducted by Carsten Rupp, accompanied by the Vogtland Philharmonic.

The approximately 90-minute concert programme on Saturday spans 250 years of musical history - from oratorios and opera choruses of the Classical and Romantic periods (Haydn, Handel, Mendelssohn, Dvořák, Verdi, Brahms, Vaughan Williams) to contemporary choral literature and film music. The Sunday morning matinee lasts around 60 minutes and is complemented by greetings from various distinguished guests and a video portrait of the choir.
