Matching Outfits

The off-kilter, wistful indie-pop of Matching Outfits - a Berlin-based trio - was compared by tipBerlin to "a Super-8 film found in the attic of your parents' house". The lyrics of Swedish frontwoman Linnea Mårtensson chart life's big losses and small annoyances with heartbreaking, sometimes comic detail, while clean keyboard chords and sweet three-part harmonies dissolve into dissonant freakouts and sing-along choruses.

In 2022 the band released their debut album 'Band Made Out Of Sand' on Berlin cassette label Kitchen Leg. It was picked up by US cult radio station WFMU, among others, who then invited the "bunch of nutcases" (their words) to record a Syd Barrett cover for a benefit compilation.

Matching outfits, for the record, are worn only on special occasions.
