20 years of Literaturport.de & 7 x 7
Literaturport, founded in 2006 by the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin and the Brandenburgisches Literaturbüro, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The portal is a one-of-a-kind platform in the German-speaking world for supporting and connecting writers and promoting literature (jury statement, Grimme Online Award 2008). Its seven sections - an author encyclopedia, prizes and grants, literary magazines, an events calendar, Writers@Berlin, literary landscapes, Literatouren, and book recommendations from Leselampe - serve both literary professionals and general readers.
To mark the anniversary, there will be a two-hour tour across seven lakes: each body of water is linked to a short story and paired with a brief intervention drawing on one of Literaturport's seven thematic areas.
On board: authors Barbaros Altuğ, María Cecilia Barbetta, Charlotte Gneuß and Ulrike Almut Sandig, as well as Christine Clausing & Dorett Auerswald (Literatursalon im Bleiche Resort & Spa in collaboration with the Spreewälder Kulturstiftung), Michael Speier (founder and editor of the literary magazine Park), and Peter Walther (Brandenburgisches Literaturbüro). Hosted by Alexander Lehnert.
