Ballet School from La Ciotat - Partnership Visit from France

The ballet school from the sister city La Ciotat returns to perform at Stadthalle Singen. Under the direction of ballet master Nathalie Rosenzweig, an ensemble of 14 dancers and one male dancer from southern France presents a programme ranging from classical ballet through neoclassicism, modern jazz, and hip-hop to cabaret and acrobatics.

As during the 2022 guest performance, the school orchestra of Hegau-Gymnasium Singen plays live for selected pieces. New this time is the Singen ballet school "Die Färbe", which participates for the first time in this evening. The ensemble is accompanied by four adult supervisors and Nathalie Rosenzweig, who describes her connection to Singen: "The always so friendly reception, the kind accompaniment during our stay, and especially the perfect technical equipment of Singen's Stadthalle and the helpful cooperation with its staff always encourage us to return to Singen with great pleasure".

The supporting programme includes dance workshops at Zeppelin-Realschule and Friedrich-Wöhler-Gymnasium. The La Ciotat ballet school was founded in 1977 by the Academie de Danse de La Ciotat (founded in 1968) together with the La Ciotat city administration and has been performing regularly in Singen ever since.
