Escape to Abanon

In Hans Werner Richter's work, we follow German soldiers who have fallen into captivity and want to escape from the Abanon camp. Between the monotony of daily camp life and mounting despair grows the desire for freedom - and the wish to leave the experiences of war behind.

The text will be read by Ute van der Maer, a German studies scholar from Bansin.
