DRONETALE - A Science-Fiction Fable of Insects, Drones and Other Fairies of the Ruhr Valley
Kokerei Zollverein, Essen, Germany
"DRONETALE" is a science-fiction fable about the Ruhr Valley, where humans, insects, myths and machines meet. Between shuttered industrial sites and returning nature, a poetic narrative unfolds about change, adaptation and new forms of coexistence. A drone and three performers together create a multi-layered world inhabited by shimmering butterflies, hybrid beings and technical organisms.
Through integrated, creative audio description, "DRONETALE" is equally accessible to blind, partially sighted and sighted audiences - ecological questions intertwine with playful storytelling. The performance takes place in German; the setting is immersive and involves volume. Visitors are in motion, seating can be offered if needed. Recommended from age 14, for a multi-generational audience.
