Icon evenings at the Icon Museum - guided tours with theological, cultural-scientific, and art-historical reflections.

On Wednesday, 23 September 2026, from 18:00 to 19:00, the focus will be on the San Damiano cross icon. Speakers include Dr. Konstanze Runge (Icon Museum), Dr. Harmjan Dam (theologian), Rev. David Schnell (Evangelical City Church Work Museumsufer), and Dr. Stefan Scholz (KARM).

Registration is not required. Museum admission is 6 € / 4 €; the icon evening is included in the admission price. Friends and supporters of the Icon Museum have free entry.

About the venue: Ikonen-Museum

The Ikonen-Museum in Frankfurt is one of the few museums in the world dedicated entirely to icons and sacred art of the Eastern Christian tradition. Housed in a former Carmelite monastery, it holds a remarkable collection spanning from the 15th to the 20th century, with works from Russia, Greece, the Balkans and the Middle East. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events.
