About the venue

The Ikonen-Museum in Frankfurt is one of the few museums in the world dedicated entirely to icons and sacred art of the Eastern Christian tradition. Housed in a former Carmelite monastery, it holds a remarkable collection spanning from the 15th to the 20th century, with works from Russia, Greece, the Balkans and the Middle East. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events.
