The SWR Vokalensemble performs at the Neuen Globe with a programme devoted to love and passion - a theme that runs through vocal music like few others. Yuval Weinberg, the ensemble's chief conductor, leads the performance.

The evening gains special significance through the world premiere of Annelies van Parys' "Ecstasy" for 24-part choir, in which the composer describes a state of rapture through musical means. Also heard are Messiaen's Cinq rechants, a selection from Martinů's Czech Madrigals, and Brahms' 5 Songs Op. 104.
