Description was written before the event

The Karlsruhe band Salty Tunes celebrates twice over at SANDKORN: four years of band history and the 45th birthday of bassist Paul Cervenec, who founded the project.

Pianist Daniel "Salty" Salzmann's arrangements blend familiar pieces from classical and pop music with groove, swing, and jazz - delivered frontally by saxophonist Leon Winkler. On drums, "TIMekeeper" Tim Brucker drives the rhythm, while Cervenec on double bass and electric bass provides the musical foundation.

Daniel Salzmann - piano
Leon Winkler - saxophone
Paul Cervenec - bass
Tim Brucker - drums
