Dr. Hemmpel (Götz Valter) sees his patients discreetly - somewhere between the sofa and the kitchen table. Things run smoothly until the stern president of the psychiatric board, Dr. Riat Krautfeier (Uwe Naumann), shows up at the door for an inspection. From that moment on, chaos takes over: a deranged patient named Volker von Alzey (Boris Stijelja), a visually rather unfortunate young lady (Marion Stress), and a suddenly appearing Italian pizza baker (René Weintz) throw everything into disarray. Lies pile up, identities get swapped, and nothing is quite what it seems.
