Michaela Münzberg on her travels through Asia - Nepal, India, Bali and more

Michaela Münzberg didn't start travelling until her mid-forties. Her first ticket took her to Bali - originally planned as a relaxing beach holiday, but the Island of the Gods sparked something unexpected in her.
Nepal captured her heart most of all. A fear of heights and a strong preference for comfort were hardly ideal for tackling the roof of the world - but there was one specific draw: landing at the world's most dangerous airport. Her travel diaries are packed with stories from Nepal, India, Bali and beyond - gripping, moving and absurd in equal measure.
With a light touch and plenty of humour, she takes her audience along for the ride, proving that neither youth, wealth nor athletic ability are prerequisites for living out your dreams. The talk at Scharwenka Kulturforum in Bad Saarow is accompanied by coffee and cake.
