HB 100 - An Evening for Henryk Bereska

This year would have marked the 100th birthday of Henryk Bereska (1926-2005). The tenth Beeskow Castle Writer was, alongside Karl Dedecius, the most important translator of Polish literature in Germany.

The evening opens with the launch of the Bereska travelling exhibition "Ohne Applaus ..." at the ART.BOX.LOS in the castle courtyard. This is followed by a guest performance from Frankfurter Theater des Lachens with their staged reading "Wenn ich nachts losgehe ...". Companions from his Beeskow years will also gather for conversation.
