Hebby Birs-Day - A Concert with Gerd Birsner - Pamina Cultural Prize Ceremony
Kulturzentrum Hufeisen, Germersheim, Germany
12 €
Hebby Birs-Day is not a concert in the conventional sense, but rather a musical interlude: a programme where the heart beats in three-four time and sharp Badish humour conducts the baton. The motto is simple: men with bass - they know their stuff.
Who is Gerd Birsner? Someone who simply has talent. As early as 1980 he performed at the Kanzlerfest and that same year received the Baden-Württemberg Small Arts Prize. In 1979 he was Germany's entry at the WDR Folk Festival in front of Cologne Cathedral and represented the Federal Republic at the "Menschen und Meer" festival in Rostock. At SWR he worked for over 40 years as a moderator and editor - both on radio and television in the "Treffpunkt" programme. The fact that he served as mayor of Diersheim for 20 years explains his rare gift for making both audiences and town councils laugh.
During the evening, the Pamina Cultural Prize will be awarded. The concert takes place in cooperation with the EuroPalz Germersheim e.V. association.
