Steel and Nylon - Michael Fix & Karlijn Langendijk

Michael Fix, three-time winner of the Golden Guitar Award in the "Instrumental of the Year" category, has been playing fingerstyle guitar at the highest level for over thirty years. Raised in Wollongong, Australia, he is regarded as one of the world's leading interpreters of contemporary acoustic guitar. His programme combines his own compositions with arrangements of pop standards and orchestral classics - from Bach to the Beatles, from Mozart to Mancini - performed with flair and humour.

Dutch guitarist Karlijn Langendijk brings together lyrical ballads, groovy rhythms, and cinematic textures in her playing. She studied at the Utrecht Conservatory and at Hochschule für Musik Dresden. Her awards include first prize at the Francisco Mário International Prize for Modern Guitar - Europe (2023) and two finalist appearances at the London "Acoustic Guitarist of the Year" competition (2018 and 2020). On stage, she alternates between her own works and arrangements of other composers' pieces.
