The Süddeutsche Zeitung called Martin Müller "an institution for Brazilian guitar in Germany", while the magazine Akustik Gitarre described him as "a visionary on the nylon guitar". His programme The Art of Brazilguitar spans the full breadth of Brazil's guitar music - from bossa nova and samba to lesser-known corners of this repertoire.

Over a career of more than 40 years, Müller developed his own compositional voice through travels and recordings with Brazilian musicians. Since his debut LP in 1978, he has released around 30 further recordings as well as several specialist publications.
