Dance has left its mark on every musical epoch - courtly or folkloric, strictly stylized or passionately free. This programme traces its rhythm through the centuries: from Bach's polyphonic linear art through Mozart's buoyant elegance and Bartók's rustic folk melodies to de Falla's Spanish dances and Piazolla's bittersweet tangos.

The StringBreeze duo - Elisso Gogibedaschwili and Marko Trivunovic - was accepted this season into the concert support programme of the German Music Competition. With violin and accordion, they bring, in their own words, "fresh wind" to classical music.
