The Wizard of Oz

Dorothy and her dog Toto are swept away by a storm into the magical world of Oz. On their journey to the Emerald City, three companions join them: the Scarecrow seeking wisdom, the Tin Man wishing for a heart, and the Cowardly Lion in need of courage. Dorothy herself wants only one thing - to find her way home. But they haven't reckoned with Lucilla, the wicked witch of the West, and her flying monkeys.

The musical is based on the book by Lyman Frank Baum. Text: Christian H. Voss, music and lyrics: Jan Radermacher - published by VVB Verlag. The script for the Osterwaldbühne was adapted by Vanessa Richarz with support from Maja Renner and Ann-Sophie Löhnert.
