Female Refugees Warten auf Go.Dot — Uferstudios, Berlin
Description was written before the event

Daily loop. Absurd cooking and dressing rituals. Memory monologues. Routines that collapse. A kitchen without a floor. Bleak fear. Hope.

50 percent of all refugees worldwide are women. The performance is based on real voices of female refugees whom three actresses from Compagnie 2018 visited over eight months in their shelter - with their consent to dramatize their stories. This created a framework inspired by Beckett's text. Ulrike Düregger, artistic director, developed from this an independent text that centers these female perspectives.

In 2026, ten years after the "summer of flight," a reckoning unfolds: What happens when life is supposed to go on - but no one says "Go"? What if a language never belonged to you? The production is a dense, physical evening, gender-sensitive, featuring performers Mira Sanjana Sharma, Andrea Magogi Förster, and Ulrike Düregger. Between origin and future, stations of violence along female flight routes become palpable.
