Shard - Season Opening 2026

A circle. A dancer. A community. At the centre stands a body, surrounded by spectators who form both a shelter and a boundary. From small movements, tensions, fractures and encounters emerge. Shard explores the inner landscape after a traumatic event through poetic movement - giving form to what so often resists description.

Trauma does not only affect individuals; it reshapes relationships and entire communities. Caught between closeness and distance, helplessness and care, the piece asks: how do we face the pain of others? Is genuine compassion possible - and what does support mean when words fall short? Ceren Oran treats vulnerability not as weakness but as a starting point for connection.
