Helge Schneider - VIP UPGRADE (no entry ticket)

HELGE SCHNEIDER, the wig-wearing eccentric from the Ruhr region, trumpets and chatters his way into the next decade. In a wild take on something like a miniature orchestra, he rattles his audience's diaphragms to the limit - one moment hammering the drum, the next coaxing a jumble of sounds from the saxophone he cleverly keeps hidden until its moment arrives. Piano on the left, trumpet on the right, left foot keeping rhythm and right foot going boom boom on the big bass drum.

LEO plucks the 4 strings of his double bass, SANDRO hacks at budding thoughts with his ultra-narrow, sharply ringing old Gibson - and HELGE ends the concert mid-show, spontaneously, only to launch straight back into it. A euphoric wave of mega-nonsense takes over.

Anyone who wants to hold on to a bit of humour in these rotten times has come to the right place. But be warned: ELBOWS OFF THE TABLE!
