MIT GEFÜHL! - The New Show by Dietrich Faber

In his new solo show, Dietrich Faber - bestselling author from Gießen, cabaret artist, actor and musician - puts his stage craft on full display: witty, thoughtful, musical and emotionally charged entertainment. This time everything revolves around feelings - and around a zeitgeist in which feelings are declared truths while facts count for less and less.

Faber takes his audience on a rollercoaster of genuine and not-so-genuine emotional outpourings. He sings opera arias, pop hits, musical theatre and country songs, tackles mindful shopping experiences, religious and nostalgic feelings, wonders whether things really were better in the old days - and what it would feel like to have to become war-ready all over again today.

With great gusto he slips into a string of characters: the Upper Hessian feelings expert and cowboy philosopher Manni Kreutzer is back, alongside familiar and brand-new figures. Faber suddenly becomes Karl Lauterbach and hosts a mindfulness seminar with guests including Friedrich Merz, Robert Habeck and Donald Trump. And in his signature role as one-man entertainer Orgel-Willi, he once again delivers ecstatic emotional explosions.

Humorous texts, sharp satire, quirky observations, rapid-fire character switches, parodies and impressions, plus catchy songs on piano and guitar - all delivered "Mit Gefühl" (with feeling). Because that is the only way to create what the world urgently needs: compassion.
