Kino Behindertenbeirat - My Blind Date with Life

Saliya Kahawatte has a big dream: he wants to work in a luxury hotel. As a teenager, however, he loses almost all of his sight within a short time - and hides his visual disability to actually land an apprenticeship position at a renowned hotel.

With ambition, improvisational talent, and the support of his friend Max, Saliya manages his work without his colleagues suspecting that he is nearly blind. The longer he keeps his secret, the harder it becomes to maintain the facade - and then he falls in love with Laura too.

"My Blind Date with Life" is based on a true story and tells with humor about courage, friendship, and the will to go your own way. FSK 0 | 111 min | D | © STUDIOCANAL
