This Bitter Earth tells the story of Jesse, a Black writer, and Neil, a white activist - two men whose love is crushed between personal happiness and social upheaval. The play asks what a relationship can endure when privilege, protest, and identity collide.

On stage are Benjamin Martins (First Steps Award winner, filmmaker, actor) and Leandro Labantey (rapper, singer-songwriter, actor). Martins also translated the play into German. This is the German premiere.
