"The Flute Player's Night Face - Ernst Barlach and Käthe Kollwitz - a Multimedia Search for Traces" - Premiere

Käthe Kollwitz and Ernst Barlach are often compared to one another. Both created powerful drawings, prints and sculptures, yet each followed a distinctly individual artistic path. This multimedia reading, drawing on diaries, letters and prose texts, explores their spiritual kinship, their contrasting life stories and their shared stand against war and inhumanity.

On stage: actress Elke Zeh and director-actor Johannes Gärtner, accompanied at the piano by Olga Bille. Theatre, music, images and film sequences come together for an evening that marks its world premiere.
