On 11 September, American soul singer Karl Frierson and pianist Peter Vogel join forces for "Soul at it's best". Born in South Carolina, Frierson has been a fixture on the international jazz and soul scene for many years; in Peter Vogel he has found a spirited and imaginative partner at the keys.

The programme weaves together soul, jazz and classical elements - drawing on well-known standards as well as original compositions by both musicians.

About the venue: Schloss Montfort

Schloss Montfort is a neo-Gothic castle sitting directly on the shore of Lake Constance in Langenargen, built in the mid-19th century for King Wilhelm I of Württemberg. The striking yellow building with its tower is one of the most recognizable landmarks on the German side of the lake. Today it serves as a cultural venue hosting concerts, exhibitions, and open-air events against the backdrop of the water.
