The Little Magic Flute - Family Concert after W.A. Mozart, conductor Wouter Padberg

Which is the most famous opera in the world? Mozart's The Magic Flute - and Mozart's mother famously wrote to Goethe: "Such a spectacle has never been seen here before." Reason enough to stage this spectacle for the whole family.

The Philharmonic Orchestra of the City of Trier presents a staged concert for schools and families, together with soloists from the opera ensemble. The production is carefully trimmed to about one hour, but keeps all the familiar characters: the Queen of the Night and her daughter Pamina, Prince Tamino and the birdcatcher Papageno.

Kapellmeister Wouter Padberg conducts - designed as a child-friendly introduction to the world of opera, with enough wit and musical variety to keep adults entertained too.
