A "Schubertiade" as it was in Vienna in 1828: Markus Becker, piano professor in Hanover, performs together with young Villa Musica soloists exclusively music by Franz Schubert.
The programme features the Violin Sonatina in G minor, the Cello Sonata in A minor originally written for the "Arpeggione", Variations on "Trockne Blumen" from "The Beautiful Maid of the Mill" for flute and piano, and the Piano Trio in E-flat major op. 100 - whose Andante Stanley Kubrick used as film music.
Programme:
Franz Schubert:
Sonatina No. 3 in G minor for violin and piano, D 408
Arpeggione Sonata in A minor for cello and piano, D 821
Variations on "Trockne Blumen" for flute and piano, D 802
Piano Trio in E-flat major, op. 100 (D 929)
