Red Deer Rut at Darßer Ort

We take the Darßbahn train at a leisurely pace from Zingst to Prerow and the Darßer Ort nature reserve. There, former national park ranger Friedemann Bartz guides us through the rutting arenas where red deer stage their autumn battles.

Boarding and parking: Please park your car at the Experimentarium (about a 10-minute walk to the Kurhaus). You can also board the train there directly at 15:35. In Prerow, the train stops at 15:45 at the stop near the rescue centre, at the corner of Strandstraße and Hafenstraße.

Don't forget your binoculars! If you don't have a pair, you can borrow one for a fee at the Max Hünten Haus.
