EES - Freshness Tour

EES is a musician born in Namibia with German roots who now lives in Germany. His music combines kwaito and afro-pop - a sound that emerged from the anti-apartheid movement in southern Africa - with influences from house, reggae, and hip-hop. He calls this blend "Nam Flava".

With this sound, he has already made a name for himself in Africa: he won the MTV Africa "Listener Choice Award" and the Channel O Award as Africa's best kwaito artist, plus a nomination for best African album at the KORA Awards. In late 2018, he performed with his eight-piece band on the new season of X-Factor on Sky - and won.

Beyond his music, EES runs a YouTube channel where he documents his travels across Africa. His "Infotainment" video series about African culture and lifestyle is particularly well-known.
