GHOST TRAIN - Premiere

People seek not only happiness but also meaning - and this includes confronting their own mortality, fear, and the unknown. Cie. Freaks und Fremde embarks on a spiritual journey through times, spheres, and cultures. Unlike the figures in classical fairground attractions drawn from monsters in literature, film, and video games, GHOST TRAIN ventures into the world of personal abysses: demons of everyday life, ghosts of the past. Through sound creation, object and puppet theatre, live music, projections, and illusions, the train carries the audience through the abyss of night until sunrise.

This train stops at unexpected places. It is not about quick scares through giant spiders, zombies, or execution scenes - Freaks und Fremde seeks the moment that comes after fear. The foreign and inexplicable takes on form; the seemingly dead comes alive and stands before the audience, breathing and questioning.
