Stille - Träume - Aufbruch

The Saxon State Youth Orchestra (LJO) presents a concert evening under the artistic direction of Tobias Engeli (Opera Leipzig).

The programme features Jean Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D minor op. 47 and Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in D major. The soloist in the Sibelius concerto is Hartmut Schill, principal concertmaster of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic and a long-standing tutor of the LJO.

Conrad Hanz (class of Roland Kluttig, HfM Dresden) serves as assistant conductor. Justus Czarnikow, a former LJO clarinettist and current HfM Dresden student in music education, also takes part - reflecting the long-standing partnership with the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden.
