Subiaco Organ Cinema: BERLIN - Symphony of a Great City (1927)

Walther Ruttmann's 1927 documentary film is shown on a large screen in the monastery church. Using experimental, bold editing, Ruttmann composed a symphony in images from 1920s Berlin. Organists Sun Kim and Christian D. Karl accompany the film live with improvised symphonic music on the organ sculpture.
