Partout, assistant to the famous Professor Alexander von Humbug, has had enough: instead of real adventures, he faces only dusty old books and even dustier tomes. So he takes matters into his own hands - a mysterious message in a bottle is needed. No sooner has he sent it than he and the professor find themselves on an urgent mission: to track down the previously unknown LED lightbulb fish.

What follows is a journey across land, sea, and sky - past weary pirates, melancholy icebergs, green whales, and the legendary island of Hula-Hula to the far end of the world.
