Jens Wawrczeck reads PSYCHO - filmed by Alfred Hitchcock!

Jens Wawrczeck - the man who knew too much. At least enough about Alfred Hitchcock and his films that he can no longer keep it to himself.

Actor, singer and voice artist Jens Wawrczeck, best known as detective Peter Shaw from the audio drama series "The Three ???", dedicates his reading series HITCH UND ICH to the novels and stories behind Hitchcock's film successes - the "invisible thirds", as he calls them. Each evening is accompanied by live music from a different guest artist.

This time the focus is on PSYCHO: when the film hit cinemas, audiences were thrilled, critics divided, and psychiatrists warned people not to see it. Today it is regarded as a masterpiece of the century. The source material is Robert Bloch's novel of the same name - the story of Norman Bates, a 40-year-old man running the Bates Motel alone with his mother. One night, Mary Crane arrives at the door, on her way to her fiancé Sam, carrying $40,000 that was supposed to go to the bank. Norman serves her dinner, mother is already in bed. When Mary takes a shower, disaster strikes.
