Knef & Friends

The play unfolds in a shop that stocks everything you won't find in discount stores. The owner, Tobias Wollner, is a passionate music lover and expert on Hildegard Knef's work - this year marks the centenary of her birth.

A regular customer (Tabea Wollner) gradually becomes a devoted fan: she hears anecdotes about Knef, discovers her songs, and learns about the music of her friends, including Ella Fitzgerald and Cole Porter.
