Heike and Martin are fed up with city life - too high rent, too much work, too little free time. They decide to turn their lives around and move to a rural community to become self-sufficient. Now everything will be better… or will it?

There they meet a colourful ensemble: Lutz from Swabia, who runs the community with utmost precision; Falk, a real guy in charge of the goats and dreaming of running ducks; the uncompromisingly vegan couple Ulla and Kjell; sensitive Fabian, who dispels bad vibes with rose water; and Melanie, a teenage intern who prefers living on the internet to life on the farm.

In eleven episodes, we witness failed container actions, a mysterious Zalando package, a visit from Heike's conservative parents, her ex-boyfriend Rico, and group therapy with root chakra opening that doesn't really help. Until finally existential questions emerge: city or countryside? Who owns the city? How do we want to live?

Close to nature, quirky, witty - and so close to life. As a pre-film, Annette Krossa's short film "Evas Eck" also plays.
