Rattle in the Box

Claudia is furious. Her marriage to Matthias has fallen apart, her friends have vanished, and even the dog avoids her. When her husband then embezzles 20,000 euros, she lures him into the basement of her townhouse and locks him in - let him stay there until he coughs up the money. The problem is, Claudia accidentally locks herself in with him.

The house is empty, the phones are dead, and the dog can't turn the key. As the initial anger fades, the two begin opening old cardboard boxes in the basement - and with each box come relics from a time when everything was right. Will they manage to turn things around?

"Rattle in the Box" is a play about love, happiness, and understanding - with plenty of music. Starring Carolin Ruthig and Bernhard Westenberger. Book and direction: Hans-Jürgen Mock.
