Max Osswald is considered one of the most sought-after newcomers on the German stand-up scene - Michael Mittermeier booked him directly as the opening act for his sold-out show at Circus Krone.

In his debut programme "Freude", Osswald talks about growing older, being uncool, his volunteer work in kindergarten, and what Munich has done to him. He explores children's songs, pop music, and German rap, while championing male equality. He tackles serious topics lightly and without a preachy tone - social commentary with a wink. Though as he says himself: if one eye is laughing and the other is crying, one of them is probably infected.

On his way to a full solo show, he was a finalist in the "NightWash Talent Award" and "Quatsch Comedy Hot Shot", received the "Obernburger Mühlstein" award, and performed over 600 times at mix shows and open mic nights. Since the opening of Michael Mittermeier's "Lucky Punch Comedy Club" in Munich, he has been part of the regular moderator team and hosts the Tuesday evening show every week.

Beyond that, his videos on Instagram and TikTok have been clicked millions of times, he has appeared on television and radio - and published a book: "Von hier betrachtet sieht das scheiße aus" (dtv, 2022), Osswald's debut novel, already in its 4th edition. Behind the scenes, he writes storylines for "Dahoam is Dahoam" (BR) and gags for "Extra 3" (ARD/NDR).
