One of contemporary jazz's most distinctive voices, Israeli bassist and composer Avishai Cohen draws on Sephardic tradition, Latin grooves, and classical music to shape a sound that crosses genre lines with ease. His trio and quintet formats have earned him the Miles Davis Award (Montreal, 2023) and France's Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters (2024), with a new album, Eternal Child, out in 2026.
