About: Manfred Krug

Manfred Krug (1937-2016) was a German actor and jazz singer. He became a major star in East Germany as both a film actor and a performer of jazz and blues, and after emigrating to West Germany in 1977 he found a new audience through TV series such as Tatort and Liebling Kreuzberg. He also wrote an autobiographical book about his departure from the GDR.
