About: Iiro Rantala

A Helsinki-born pianist with classical training from the Manhattan School of Music and jazz roots at the Sibelius Academy, Rantala has spent three decades crossing genre lines - from anarchic trio jazz to orchestral premieres and Berlin Philharmonic piano nights. His ACT label catalogue spans solo albums, duo recordings with Stefano Bollani, and the HEL Trio's 2024 release 'Tough Stuff'.
