About: Martín Palmeri

Martín Palmeri is an Argentine composer and pianist, best known for his Misatango — a mass for soloists, choir and bandoneon that blends traditional liturgical form with the rhythms and harmonies of tango. His works are regularly performed on concert stages around the world.

About the venue: Alte Oper Frankfurt

The Alte Oper Frankfurt is a grand 19th-century concert hall on Opernplatz, rebuilt after its near-total destruction in World War II and reopened in 1981. Originally opened in 1880, the neo-Renaissance building now hosts orchestral concerts, jazz, pop and international acts. Its main hall seats around 2,500 and is one of Germany's most prestigious concert venues.
