About: Ensemble Pygmalion

Ensemble Pygmalion is a French chamber ensemble and choir founded by conductor Raphaël Pichon. The group focuses on Baroque repertoire, particularly the works of J. S. Bach and French composers of the 17th and 18th centuries. It performs regularly at major European concert halls and has released several critically praised recordings.

About the venue: Alte Oper Frankfurt

The Alte Oper Frankfurt is a grand 19th-century concert hall on Opernplatz, rebuilt after its near-total destruction in World War II and reopened in 1981. Originally opened in 1880, the neo-Renaissance building now hosts orchestral concerts, jazz, pop and international acts. Its main hall seats around 2,500 and is one of Germany's most prestigious concert venues.
