Film Music LIVE - from Hans Zimmer to John Williams

Philharmonie Leipzig brings a film music concert to Wuppertal on Friday, 11 December 2026 at 20:00 at Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal. The evening features live performances of iconic film scores - from Hans Zimmer to John Williams. This is one of nine German dates on the orchestra's tour. Historische Stadthalle, built in 1896-1900, is a grand concert hall in late-historicist style, set above the Wupper River and renowned for its ornate façade and excellent acoustics in the main hall. The programme showcases the finest musical themes from cinema, which sound quite different when performed live than they do on screen.
