Multiple award-winning cabaret artist and actor Thomas Freitag is heading out on one final major tour. With this new solo show he bids a definitive farewell to the stage - drawing a line after more than five decades of performing and over 20 solo programmes. The post-war child's dreams of a better future have long since curdled into nightmares, and the anger that comes with that is very much alive in him. With his formidable acting talent, his experience and his age, he takes the audience by the hand and leads them through his "Rückzug über die Minen der Ebene". If he plays the ape in a Kafkaesque manner along the way, it is only because he wants to meet the gravity of life with the lightness of art.
