A summer celebration for the whole family with the beloved Dino stars. On August 24, 2026, five green rockers in dinosaur costumes will take the festival stage at Schloss Rheydt. Under the motto "SommerMusik für Kids," the summer day becomes an unforgettable family event filled with energy, humor, and metal power.

From the nursery to the legendary Wacken Open Air: HEAVYSAURUS bring real metal for young and old alike. Four dinosaurs and one dragon deliver a spectacular live show where children and adults together raise their "french-fry forks" in the air.

A HEAVYSAURUS concert is an experience for all the senses: light, fog, showers of sparks, balloons, and confetti meet live music from professional rock musicians in dinosaur costumes. The sound is powerful yet child-friendly - perfect for small and big metal fans.

Following the overwhelming success of the "Pommesgabel Tour" in 2024 and 2025 - with over 350 sold-out shows - HEAVYSAURUS are back. To the show in Mönchengladbach they bring their brand-new album "Metal," released in January 2026.

What once began as a wild idea - rock and metal for children with heartfelt dinosaur stories, but without musical compromise - has become a genuine phenomenon. HEAVYSAURUS prove that real headbanger fun has no age limit. Their songs unite generations: while children discover the world of rock, parents celebrate their own musical passion anew.

And when the first song starts and small hands shoot into the air with a loud "Rarrr!" echoing across the square, it's clear: metal lives - for everyone.

"In this anniversary year of SommerMusik, we want to give our youngest fans a real highlight at the end of summer or the start of the school year," says organizer Günter vom Dorp, delighted about the deal with the dinosaurs.
