ECHOES performing the music of Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd - giants of progressive and art-rock, architects of vast magical soundscapes with a unique musical aesthetic, masters of ceremony for bombastic live shows - a monolith in the stream of rock history, shaping the style of generations of musicians and bands. Pink Floyd are one of the greatest bands of all time and have long since claimed their place in the rock pantheon.

The story of the originals, however, came to a close with the final album "The Endless River" in 2014 - a fitting conclusion to a gigantic body of work that stands as a legacy for generations.

The Pink Floyd tribute band echoes carries that legendary legacy forward. From 2024, they do so with a new, fresh lineup - the fourth since the band was founded in 1993. Continuity and the highest standards are still guaranteed by the two founding members, Paul Ahrens and Steffen Maier, who have kept the Pink Floyd tribute flagship echoes on course for three decades (!) and over 500 concerts across twelve countries. Unique in Europe.

Particularly exciting: for the David Gilmour guitar role, the band secured none other than exceptional German guitarist Dennis Hormes. Fans of echoes have already had a taste of his fantastic playing in recent years, when he joined as a guest musician. It is absolutely fascinating how he makes Gilmour's work his own in a fresh and highly virtuosic way - from now on, though, not as a guest but as the new central star of echoes' Floydian sound worlds. Dennis Hormes brings qualities that originally defined Pink Floyd and that perhaps faded a little towards the end: an open mind, creativity, and a joy of improvisation - without ever losing the complexity, grandeur, and spirit of Pink Floyd.
