Thomas D & the KBCS

Thomas D is best known as a member of Fantastische Vier. Together with his bandmates Michi, And.Ypsilon, and Smudo, he revolutionized German rap and made it both chart-topping and socially acceptable. Creative, feel-good tracks like "Die da!?!" and "MfG" have been making people nod enthusiastically since the 1990s. As a solo artist, Thomas D is equally successful. His solo debut album "Solo" came out in 1997. In 2021, he released "M.A.R.S. Sessions" in collaboration with Hamburg jazz band The KBCS. Thomas D discovered the band through their debut album "Phô Sessions Vol. 1". Their joint album climbed to number 13 on the German charts. No wonder - Thomas D's timeless lyrics harmonize beautifully with the funky, soulful vintage sound of the jazz band. In 2025/2026, the guys are touring together again.
